The company’s largest Internet search engine in China, Baidu has sent a claim to the Domain service providers in the United States (U.S.) because of action by Baidu hacker.
Launched by Yahoo News Rabu (20/1/2010), Baidu considers domain provider Register.com enough to be responsible for the break-ins by hackers who infiltrated the network of Baidu. Because the domain search engine Baidu is derived from the company.
“We have filed a lawsuit against the company register.com domain providers in the U.S. court in New York, because we think the company is responsible for the interruptions that occurred in the network Baidu some time ago,” Baidu spokesman said Victor Tseng.
According to Tseng, search engine had a downtime for a few hours, after a hacker who claimed to ‘Cyber Army of Iran’ burglarized Baidu. Hacker group is also known to have been paralyzed Twitter a few months ago.
“Our services have been destroyed and we found a discrepancy in our DNS in America” said Tseng. As a result of the network is down, many visitors Baidu from various countries who cannot access the site for hours. Even burglary attempts resulted in serious damage on the network Baidu.
Register.com itself is the largest domain providers in the world which oversees 2.5 million domian name. Meanwhile, Baidu has a market share of approximately 58.4 percent of searches in China to beat Google just 35.6 percent. Filing this suit comes a week after Google said it came under fire from Chinese hackers. Even the attacks also make Google decided not to operate again in China.
